About Us: Lory's Experience and the Pass Analysis Method
Lory
Hi 😊 I'm Lory, founder and Senior Travel Analyst of this portal.
For nearly 15 years, I have combined my field experience with my skills as a digital consultant for a specific purpose: to transform the complexity of tourism products into concrete savings for travelers through high-quality guides and content.
On this page, I’ll share my story and my analytical method. While this project is managed by my company, Zonzozu S.r.l., my personal signature and direct supervision are behind every analysis, calculation, and review.
I chose to oversee every aspect of this portal personally because I believe that, in a world of mass-generated content, only the critical eye of someone who actually travels can make the difference. It is a demanding job, dedicated to dissecting the terms of use, prices, and hidden clauses of tourist passes worldwide.
This is necessary to navigate a complex market where prices shift, new products launch constantly, and every traveler’s needs are unique.
My goal isn't just to describe a destination, but to provide an objective economic analysis that guides the user toward the most advantageous choice, both for their wallet and their experience.
It is only thanks to this meticulous, artisanal work —rooted in data study and constant verification—that I can guarantee the best possible interpretation of every solution, with the attention to detail essential for a premium guide.
From an Italian success story to a global mission
The methodology you find here isn't improvised.
It stems from my experience as the author of two of Italy’s most authoritative portals for their respective destinations: New York Facile (www.newyorkfacile.it) and Barcellona Facile (www.barcellonafacile.it).
By interacting with tens of thousands of travelers over the years, I identified a universal problem: the difficulty of knowing if a Tourist Pass for your destination is really worthwhile or just marketing hype. My guides for New York and Barcelona became industry benchmarks specifically for their clarity and analytical honesty.
This made me realize the problem was global. So I asked myself: why not create a single point of reference with a broader mission to help travelers worldwide? That is how this site was born.
To break down language barriers and make my analyses accessible to everyone, I decided to use the latest AI-supported translation technologies. I personally supervise this process to ensure the same level of depth for travelers across 5 different languages, maintaining the quality of my original Italian research.
My method: data analysis & field passion
How do I guarantee quality across so many destinations? By using a rigorous verification protocol that goes beyond simple sightseeing.
A useful guide isn't just a travel diary; it’s a technical tool.
My method is built on 4 pillars:
1. Operational analysis: I study the official "Terms and Conditions" of every pass (the fine print no one reads!) to uncover limitations or exceptions.
2. Economic simulation: I compare updated list prices with real itineraries to calculate the "break-even point" for every card.
3. Review verification: I aggregate hundreds of certified feedbacks to identify recurring issues (e.g., skip-the-line failures, closed attractions).
4. Field testing: Whenever possible, I test the passes myself to validate my theoretical findings.
This cross-referenced approach allows me to offer valid, updated, and—most importantly— impartial advice, whether or not I am physically at the destination at that moment.
This data-driven method is fueled by my greatest passion: traveling. Whenever possible, my first rule is to go and test everything firsthand. Living the city, using the transport, and visiting museums allows me to offer advice based on real, lived experience. For destinations I haven't reached yet, I rely on an even more meticulous cross-study, which is almost always confirmed as soon as I can organize a verification trip.
My ethics: a note on transparency
Transparency is the foundation of my relationship with readers.
This project is supported by affiliate links: if you purchase a valid pass through the links on this site, I receive a commission from the provider, without any extra cost to you.
In fact, the goal is that by guiding you to the best pass for your specific case, you will save the maximum amount on your purchase.
However, Zonzozu's editorial ethics are non-negotiable.
I only recommend a product if the data proves it’s worth it. If a pass isn't a good deal, I say so clearly (as you’ll see in several reviews here). The only metric that matters to me is the satisfaction of the traveler who returns home knowing their budget was well spent.
Thank you from the bottom of my heart if you choose to support my work!
