What to see in Dubai?
Dubai's appeal stems from its particular contrast between modernity and tradition: futuristic skyscrapers that defy great Western symbols coexist with historic souks, while just a few kilometers away the desert offers striking landscapes and adventures. It is a city that embodies ambition and glitz, blending it with its more naturalistic and authentic side.
It is difficult to describe this particular feeling that Dubai can convey to those who visit it. The best way to capture it is to explore it through its tourist attractions and experiences, from scenic views to adrenaline-pumping adventures in the dunes.
It is a city that-despite its own peculiarities-lends itself to and offers attractions for every type of traveler: families, couples seeking luxury, lovers of adventure and architecture.
Dubai is a city of many faces, with unique experiences ranging from record-breaking skyscrapers to desert adventures.
For those visiting Dubai for the first time, there are so many stops to include in the itinerary-most are included in the main tourist passes.
Let's look at the most famous and usually unmissable ones.
I will give you for each some general information, combined with my personal opinion and some good advice dictated by my experience.
For each I will also indicate the presence in the passes reviewed in this guide, although you will analyze them later. The point is to let you know that most of Dubai's top attractions can be visited with a pass while saving money.
From the viewing terraces on floors 124 and 125, the view of Dubai, the desert and the sea is simply unique and offers an incredible perspective on the city's development.

It is an ideal option for those who extend their visit to Abu Dhabi or want an alternative to the classic tour from Dubai.

- 🕒 Timetable: Afternoon dinner tours are the most popular, with schedules similar to those in Dubai.

- 🎟️ Included in passes: This is an option included in Go City passes that also cover Abu Dhabi attractions, such as the All Inclusive andExplorer Pass.
These are just some of the experiences that deserve a place on your sightseeing itinerary. But Dubai is also beaches, boundless shopping malls, artistic districts and a world-class traditionalist culinary scene.
With so much to see and single ticket prices often high, choosing a tourist pass can really make a difference. It helps you save significantly on admissions and allows you to build a richer, more carefree itinerary.
Each pass has a different rationale: cards for those who want to make the most of each day, others for those who prefer more flexibility.
In this comprehensive guide to Dubai passes, we break them down one by one to help you figure out which one best suits your travel style.
Why choose a tourist card to visit Dubai
Visiting Dubai through its attractions and tourist experiences, can be very expensive if individual tickets are purchased.
Dubai in particular is a city with particularly high average prices for attractions.
Just think that just climbing the Burj Khalifa and a desert safari can exceed 80€/100€ per person.
The best way to make real savings is to choose one of these tourist cards.
For a fixed fee, you buy a card that gives you access to dozens of attractions and experiences, avoiding the need to buy each admission separately, resulting in significant savings compared to list prices.
Savings vary depending on the pass you choose and the number of activities you can do, but you can easily save as much as 40-50% over full prices.

The types of passes available
Several solutions are commercially available for visiting Dubai, precisely to meet the various possible tourist needs.
I will not review all of them in this guide, but only those that I think are most effective and able to guarantee a larger catalog of attractions and greater average savings.
- All-Inclusive Pass (all-inclusive formula)
- Pass Unlimited (all-inclusive formula)
- Explorer Pass (flexible formula)
- Pass Essentials (modular, with a few predefined attractions)
They all have the common goal of getting you to see the attractions you want, while saving money.
But they work with different logics, in order to best suit different travel needs, between longer or shorter stays, and the preference to have a more or less lavish itinerary.
The important thing to plan a good draft itinerary in advance, to understand how much and what you want to see, a crucial element in deciding on the pass that best meets your need.
Do Dubai Tourist Passes include public transportation?
Let's answer this common question right away by saying that none of the tourist cards for Dubai include the use of public transportation.
So this is something that does not interfere with your choice of pass, because you will have to think about it separately anyway.
Some cards include hop-on / hop-off tourist bus service, which is not public transportation but a tourist attraction.
Which can certainly be used to move from one point of interest to another-among those on the route-but they cannot by their nature replace the ubiquity of classic public transportation.
Review of passes to Dubai
Having clarified the introductory aspects, and unraveled the doubt about public transportation, let's go on to analyze them in detail-one by one-to try to figure out which solution best suits your trip to Dubai.
At the end of the article will be compared directly in a convenient comparison table.
All-Inclusive Pass
As its name suggests, included in the price of the card you can see all the attractions included in the catalog, currently about 50 top points of interest and complementary experiences.
You choose the length of the pass, available in 2,3,4,5,7 and 10-day variants, and try to see and enjoy as many things as possible.
This is always a winning formula, which is perfectly suited to all tourist trips when one wants to discover the city in depth by visiting its attractions, and making tourist experiences capable of bringing to life in original keys each side of Dubai.
It is the card with the greatest savings potential, according to an evergreen rule: the more you see, the more you save.
With this card, by being able to see all the things it includes-unlimited-you can maximize your itinerary, achieving (as we shall see) truly significant savings over buying individual tickets.
What it includes: attractions included
All-Inclusive Pass includes a catalog of about 50 tourist attractions, guided tours, and experiences.
Overall, it covers virtually everything relevant to do and see in Dubai ( including all the top attractions seen at the beginning of this guide, and more).
At the following link, for your convenience, you can see the full list of attractions included in All-Inclusive Pass.
How it works
The operation is definitely simple.
You just have to choose the validity of the pass, in number of consecutive days, from the available options: 2,3,4,5,7 and 10 days.
This formulation in different denominations of duration allows you to choose the one best suited for the duration of your trip.
The pass is activated when you visit the first attraction you decide to see, and from that moment it has the duration equal to the number of days you choose.
Just pay attention to the first day: try if possible to activate it in the morning, or early afternoon at the latest, to make the most of the first day of validity as well.
During the validity of the pass, you can do and see all the tourist attractions included in its catalog (even all potentially), only once each.
Prices and options
All-Inclusive Pass is quite expensive in absolute value, especially if you compare it with tourist cards in other cities.
This is normal, and is due to the fact that individual attraction tickets are on average very expensive, and consequently the passes (this one but also the others) also cost more proportionally.
Spoiler: the savings achievable with the pass also increases proportionally, so the logic does not change.
Let's look at the list prices of All-Inclusive Pass:
- 2 DAYS ➜ $359 Adult | $319 Child
- 3 DAYS ➜ $469 Adult | $419 Child
- 4 DAYS ➜ $569 Adult | $519 Child
- 5 DAYS ➜ $649 Adult | $599 Child
- 7 DAYS ➜ $799 Adult | $749 Child
- 10 DAYS ➜ $959 Adult | $889 Child
These are list prices, which you will almost always find heavily discounted on the pass's official website.
Basic discounts vary depending on the length of the pass, and come in the $90 range in the case of the 10-day pass.
discount codes
The good news is that discount codes, which can be applied to the prices already on offer, are also available for an additional discount on the purchase price.
- TRAVEL10 - Try it, it should be up and running, and it applies a cumulative discount of -10% on all card denominations, applied to prices already on offer
- PTCODE5 - as an alternative to the previous one (should it not work), reserved for readers of this site and still valid, which discounts all versions of the All-Inclusive Pass by an additional -5%
Obviously the two codes cannot be used together, apply the cheapest one available.
The code must be entered during purchase, once you have placed your passes in the shopping cart, in the appropriate field.
Once applied, you will immediately see further reduced prices.
All-inclusive pass: is it worth it?
Economically it is very convenient, although the purchase cost is significant.
Let's do an example simulation to better understand the convenience.
Considering adult prices, the cost average of a tourist attraction or experience in Dubai is about $80.
With the most popular ones easily exceeding $100 each in entrance fees.
Let's take as reference an average case, the full week, with the 7-day All-Inclusive Pass. Let's assume, in a very bland itinerary, to see 2 attractions per day.
Without a pass, I would pay on average: $80*2*7 = $1120 in entrance fees.
The price of the 7-day pass, between basic offer and discount codes, is about $660, a savings of $460 each, for the adult.
A lot, but consider that you can usually save far more.
For example, seeing 3 attractions per day is in my opinion quiet feasible, bringing the savings to about $1000 per person.
Seeing attractions at speed
One of the less obvious but at the same time more important pluses of All-Inclusive Passes (and of all-inclusive formulas in general), is the possibility of being able to do and see some attractions in touch-and-go mode.
Perhaps due to lack of time, limited interest on a museum when we only want to see a part, or when an attraction doesn't quite convince us, we can still go there, see it on the fly, to get it out of the way and be able to say we've been there. It's included in the price anyway.
This approach would not be sustainable if you had to buy the entrance ticket every time, and you would miss several opportunities.
Purchase the All-Inclusive Passbooking attractions
Some of the attractions and tours included in this card require mandatory reservations.
Reservations are required because these are popular attractions, and by doing so you are guaranteed a visit without long lines and waits.
The official website of the card has a dedicated page with all the info for booking attractions.
It is very clear and detailed, once you purchase the pass follow the instructions provided to book the attractions that require it.
how to purchase
You buy online at the official website, which can be reached at the links in this guide.
And the place where you get the absolute best purchase price, between basic offers and applicable discount codes.
You pay by credit card or even PayPal, and you receive the passes digitally almost immediately after purchase, at the email address given when ordering (be sure to check that you enter it correctly!).
You can keep them on your smartphone, or print them out to have a security hard copy.
I recommend downloading theofficial GoCity app, where you can upload your passes and have up-to-date info on each individual attraction (hours, hangouts, addresses, etc.).
Validity and refunds
All-Inclusive Pass is valid for 12 months from the date of purchase.
Therefore you can also purchase it in advance of your trip.
Once activated at the same time as the visit to the first attraction selected, it is valid for the N consecutive days selected.
The pass is fully refundable upon request, within 30 days of purchase. It does not, of course, have to have been activated.
Dubai Pass Unlimited
Unlike GoCity's All Inclusive, it has a less wide choice of validity (you can only choose between 3 and 5 days), generally a slightly less rich attractions catalog, and on balance even costs a bit more (there are no basic offers or discount codes applicable).
Therefore, right off the bat, I can say that if you have chosen an all-inclusive pass for your trip to Dubai, you better opt for GoCity's All Inclusive.
However, let's look at how it works in detail, so you can better understand its advantages and disadvantages, and consciously evaluate it based on your trip.
Purchase IVenture's Unlimited PassWhat it includes: attractions included
The catalog for this card includes about 40 attractions and experiences in Dubai.
Much of the catalog is the same as that offered by GoCity's All-Inclusive Pass.
I therefore highlight only the substantive differences between the two:
- Pass Unlimited's catalog does not include attractions in nearby Abu Dhabi
- there are some attractions that the other one doesn't have, such as: the La Perle by Dragone show, EXPO City Pass, Boardwalk, and Dancing Fountains Lake cruise, which are interesting but don't rank among the top ones.
You can check the full list of Pass Unlimited attractions at this link by scrolling down the product tab under "Full Description."
How it works
Again, all very simple.
You just have to choose the validity of the pass between 3 and 5 days (the only available denominations).
During the validity of the card you can see as many attractions as you want among those included, only once each.
I suggest that you download the "Smartvisit" app, as also recommended in the documentation you receive with your pass, where you can find all the information about the attractions, and how to make reservations for those that do.
Prices and options
Let's look at the list prices of IVenture's Pass Unlimited:
- 3 DAYS ➜ €377 Adult | €309 Child
- 5 DAYS ➜ €486 Adult | €389 Child
The child rate is intended for 0-12 years old.
Beware that in this case the prices are in EUR, so when comparing with GoCity's All Inclusive you have to convert the currency.
There are hardly any basic offers for this card on the official purchase site (GetYourGuide), nor are there any discount codes you can apply.
Iventure's Unlimited Pass: does it pay off?
Again, economically it pays off tremendously.
We replicate the same simulation done for the previous pass, this time on the 5-day cut (the largest).
The average cost of a Dubai attraction is $80.
Considering seeing 2 attractions per day, without a pass I would go and spend on tickets: $80*2*5 = $800.
The 5-day Adult Unlimited Pass costs me about $486 (at the exchange rate about $565), a savings of $235.
Again, the savings increase further if you put more things in the itinerary (the rate of 2 per day is quite mild).
Better IVenture's Unlimited Pass or GoCity's All Inclusive?
As mentioned in the introduction, in my opinion if you want the all-inclusive formula better to go for GoCity's All Inclusive, for the following reasons:
- costs less: it is true that it costs more in list, but thanks to the basic offer on the site and the applicable discount code, you get a lower price than Pass Unlimited
- has a more diverse catalog: in particular it includes exploratory attractions in Abu Dhabi, which on a trip to Dubai is a nearby destination definitely worth visiting
- I can choose many more validity cuts, best optimizing travel and itinerary
- With All Inclusive, you don't need to choose an effective start date for the pass, without having to bind yourself. You use the pass whenever you want, within 1 year of purchase.
Instead, it makes sense to evaluate Iventure's Unlimited Pass if the attractions it includes fully satisfy your itinerary (e.g., you are not interested in Abu Dhabi or visiting it without attractions or guided tours), or perhaps you are interested in seeing those few attractions that Unlimited has compared to Go City's All Inclusive.
booking attractions
A good portion of the included attractions are to be booked in advance.
You will receive all instructions by email, and through the official Smartvisit app you can easily identify which ones require reservations and how to make them.
how to purchase
To purchase this card at the best price, I suggest using the GetYourGuide portal, which is moreover very easy to use and available in many languages.
You will only have to choose the validity of the pass, and how many you need between adult and child.
You are also asked for a date, which will be the activation date of the pass.
Validity and refunds
A great advantage offered by GetYourGuide is the ability to have a full refund up to 24 hours before the specified activation date.
Explorer Pass
Change the operation, with this card you choose the number of attractions you want to see, not the days of validity.
Available in denominations of 3,4,5,7 and 10 attractions, Explorer Pass is a solution that caters to those with a moderate itinerary in mind.
With a fair number of attractions to want to see, but without that tourist approach of wanting to see as many things as possible during their stay in Dubai.
Together with the All-Inclusive Pass, in my opinion they cover most tourist needs.
Buy Explorer Pass DubaiWhat it includes: attractions included
The Explorer Pass attraction catalog--from which to choose your attractions--is by far the richest. It has about 65 attractions and tourist experiences.
As a base it has the same attractions list as the All-Inclusive Pass (the card provider is the same), for virtually all the top attractions in Dubai and Abu Dhabi, but enhanced with additional experiences.
At this link you can see thefull list of attractions included in Explorer Pass.
How it works
Again, the operation is very simple.
At the purchase stage I choose only the size of the pass (between 3,4,5,7 and 10 attractions), that is, I decide how many attractions I want to be able to see with the benefits of the pass.
I don't have to choose which ones, just how many.
The choice of what to see can also be made during the trip, without having to tell anyone.
Be aware, however, that some of the attractions in the catalog-similar to the All-Inclusive Pass-require mandatory reservations, which makes sense to make in advance to have more availability.
I will explain how to do this later.
In general, we still recommend that you plan a good outline of the itinerary even before you leave, to optimize time and ideas, and at the same time book the points of interest that require it.
Explorer Pass still leaves us the flexibility to change plans even at the last minute, ranging from all its catalog attractions.
Prices and options
Let's look at the list prices of Explorer Pass, for adults and children:
- 3 ATTRACTIONS ➜ $219 Adult | $199 Child
- 4 ATTRACTIONS ➜ $289 Adult | $249 Child
- 5 ATTRACTIONS ➜ $329 Adult | $309 Child
- 7 ATTRACTIONS ➜ $429 Adult | $399 Child
- 10 ATTRACTIONS ➜ $569 Adult | $499 Child
Children are defined as children from 3 to 12 years old.
A first piece of good news is that the list prices quoted, you will find them most often already discounted on the official website, for a basic offer applied by the GoCity provider for online purchases.
The discount varies depending on the size of the pass, but ranges from -5% on the smallest cuts, to as much as -10% on the 10-attraction cut.
discount codes
The second piece of good news is that cumulative discount codes are available, meaning they apply an additional discount to already discounted prices, for adult and child:
- TRAVEL10 - Try it, it should be up and running, and it applies a cumulative discount of -10% on all card denominations, applied to prices already on offer
- PTCODE5 - as an alternative to the previous one (should it not work), reserved for readers of this site and still valid, which discounts all versions of Explorer Pass by an additional -5%
Obviously the two codes cannot be used together, apply the cheapest one available.
Buy Explorer Pass Dubai with discount codeExplorer Pass: is it worth it?
Again, the answer is: yes, it pays off quite a bit.
After all, it is the purpose of any tourist pass to guarantee savings compared to not having it, but not all passes succeed so well.
Let's do a quick simulation here as well, taking the average cost of an attraction in Dubai of $80, and assuming we want to see 7 attractions (a statistically token cut).
Without a pass I would spend on average $80*7 = $560 in entrance fees.
In contrast, the 7-attraction Explorer Pass (adult) costs me about $360 (between offer on the official website and discount code applied).
A savings of as much as $200 per person.
You can redo the calculations with each cut of the pass; you will see that the savings are always significant, and they increase as more attractions are seen.
The rule "the more you see, the more you save" is always respected.
booking attractions
As anticipated, some of the attractions and tours in the Explorer Pass catalog require mandatory reservations.
Reservations are required because they are popular attractions, and by doing so they guarantee you a visit without long lines and waits.
So, once you have an idea of what you want to see, check on the official website whether such attractions require advance reservations.
The official pass website has a dedicated page with all the info for booking attractions.
It is very clear and detailed, once you purchase the pass follow the instructions provided to book the attractions that require it.
how to purchase
You purchase online at the official website, being able to pay by credit card or PayPal.
Shortly after purchase, you will receive your Explorer Passes in digital format via e-mail, on the address you provided during purchase.
So be careful to spell it correctly.
Once received, they are ready to be exhibited at the chosen attractions.
I recommend that you:
- download theofficial GoCity app, where you can upload your passes and find lots of useful information about the attractions (hours, meeting points, how to book, updates, etc.).
- print a hard copy just in case, to keep as a spare (technology sometimes fails us)
Validity and refunds
Explorer pass can be used within 1 year from the date of purchase: therefore, you can also purchase it in advance of your travel dates.
Once activated-at the same time as visiting the first attraction you choose-you have 30 days to see all others included.
The card is fully refundable within 30 days of purchase, provided of course that it has not been activated.
Pass Essentials
Includes only 3 attractions, and is therefore designed for those who have very little time to devote to visiting Dubai, but still wants to take advantage of the benefits of having a tourist pass to save money.
Or for those who, regardless of the weather, have chosen to have a "essential" tourism approach, settling for only 3 attractions
The feature of Pass Essentials is to be modular, choosing what you want to include in the pass according to the 1+2 rule.
That is, to choose the first attraction from a dedicated list of options, and the other two from a different second list.
What it includes: attractions included
To illustrate thelist of attractions included and at the same time the 1+2 rule of choice, I use the following official image from GoCity, the card provider.
Let's look in detail at the 1+2 rule of choosing attractions:
- the first attraction should be freely chosen from one of the options in the blue box. We have a selection of top attractions in Dubai and Abu Dabhi, not super-rich, but still satisfactory for a short visit.
- the second and third, on the other hand, are always freely chosen from the options in the yellow box. They are still major attractions in the city, but more varied in nature, to allow the pass to better suit your tourist tastes.
A formula far too limited for those who want to appreciate Dubai with the classic exploratory tourist approach.
But still interesting in cases where 3 attractions are not a limitation, either by time available or choice.
How it works
Pass Essentials has no variants or options.
It is available in asingle 3-attraction version, which you can purchase online at the official website.
The choice of attractions is made according to the 1+2 rule just seen, but without having to choose in advance what to see.
You can choose at any time, even during the trip, as long as you follow the rule described (otherwise the pass will not work for you).
Beware, however, that some attractions among those listed require mandatory advance reservations, so it is always advisable to leave already with a clear idea of what you want to see, and any reservations made.
Establishing a good itinerary in advance is also important in determining which Dubai pass best suits your needs.
Prices and options
The list price of the Essentials Pass, adult and child is as follows:
- ONE VERSION FROM 3 ATTRACTIONS ➜ $189 Adult | $159 Child
Children are defined as children from 3 to 12 years old.
The list price of Essentials Pass is very often found already on offer directly on the official website of GoCity, the pass provider, as an incentive to purchase online.
The discount is about 8% for the adult, and 9% for children.
discount codes
Cumulative discount codes are also available for this card, meaning they apply an additional discount to the prices already on offer:
- TRAVEL10 - Try it, it should be up and running, and it applies a cumulative discount of -10% off Pass Essentials, adult and child, applied to prices already on offer
- PTCODE5 - as an alternative to the previous one (should it not work), reserved for readers of this site and still valid, which discounts the Adult and Child Essentials Pass by an additional -5%
Of course the two codes cannot be used together, apply the most convenient one available.
Buy Pass Essentials with discount codePass Essentials: does it pay off?
Economically, yes, again.
The savings will be objectively smaller since we only have 3 attractions, but still relatively significant.
Let's do the usual quick count, albeit simplified in this case.
3 attractions - at an average cost of $80 each - without a pass would cost me $240.
Instead, the Essentials Pass I pay about $157 (adult), between site offer and discount code applied, a savings of $83 per person.
Basically, one attraction you see for free.
The savings will vary depending on the selection you make, because the individual ticket prices of the attractions considered will change (we did an average calculation).
I can tell you that I have done several simulations, and in general the savings are always there, and the order of magnitude is always significant.
When to choose Pass Essentials?
Objectively, it is a very limited card for a classic tourist trip.
It has its significance in some specific cases:
- you have a long stopover in Dubai (transit airport for many routes) and want to take the opportunity for a taste of the city while saving
- Very short trip, maybe business, and you still want to catch some of the city's iconic attractions
- In any case where, because of time or tourist approach, you are content to see only 3 attractions
Better Pass Essentials or Explorer Pass 3 attractions?
Fair question, since the two passes address the same need of wanting to see 3 attractions.
Explorer Pass, net of offers and discount codes, costs about $20 more than Pass Essentials.
But on its side it lets you choose the 3 attractions in total freedom from the entire catalog, without binding you with the 1+2 rule.
So, summarizing:
- If you can see exactly the 3 attractions you want with Pass Essentials, it is preferable because it costs a little less
- instead, choose Explorer Pass to be able to select with more variety what to see in Dubai. This flexibility is worth the extra $20 or so.
- choose Explorer Pass even when 3 attractions are tight for you, as you can opt for the 4 or 5 version, introducing what you are missing.
booking attractions
Even for Pass Essentials, despite the more limited catalog in number of attractions, some require mandatory reservations.
So once you have decided what you want to see, check the official website to see if those attractions require advance reservations.
There is a dedicated page with all the info for booking attractions.
It is very clear and detailed, once you purchase the pass follow the instructions provided to book the attractions that require it.
how to purchase
You purchase online at the official website, being able to pay by credit card or PayPal.
Shortly after purchase, you will receive your Essentials Passes in digital format via e-mail, on the e-mail address provided during purchase (be careful to enter it correctly!!).
Once received, they are ready to show at your chosen attractions.
I suggest that you:
- download theofficial GoCity app, where you can upload your passes and find lots of useful information about the attractions (hours, meeting points, how to book, updates, etc.).
- print a hard copy just in case, to keep as a spare (technology sometimes fails us)
Validity and refunds
You have 12 months to use your Essentials Passes from the date of purchase.
Once activated-at the same time as visiting the first attraction you choose-you have 30 days to see all others included.
The pass is fully refundable within 30 days of purchase, provided of course that it has not been activated.
Comparison of passes to Dubai
We quickly compare the solutions reviewed in this guide in the following table:
Operating logic | Number of attractions included | Does it pay off? | Preference for typical vacation | Direct link for purchase | |
---|---|---|---|---|---|
ALL-INCLUSIVE PASS |
I choose the validity days (2,3,4,5,7 or 10), I see whatever I want. | About 50, including museums, attractions, tours, experiences and services. | Yes, pretty much all the time, and quite a lot
Suitable for medium and long vacations where you want to see many things and have experiences |
★★★★★ | Buy the All-Inclusive Pass now |
PASS UNLIMITED |
I choose the validity days (3 or 5), I see whatever I want. | About 40, including museums, attractions, tours, experiences and services (does not include Abu Dhabi attractions). | Yes, pretty much all the time, and quite a lot
Medium vacation, max. 5 days, where you want to see many things and have experiences |
★★★★☆ | Buy Pass Unlimited now |
EXPLORER PASS |
I choose the number of attractions first (3, 4, 5, 7 or 10). During the vacation I choose which ones. | About 70, including museums, attractions, tours, experiences and services. | Yes, from the 3rd attraction seen. The largest savings in the 7- and 10-attraction denominations. Short/medium trips, and/or with an intentionally moderate itinerary (max. 10 attractions) |
★★★★☆ | Buy Explorer Pass Now |
PASS ESSENTIALS |
Visit only 3 attractions in Dubai, card for an "essential" tourist approach as the name suggests. | 3, according to the 1+2 rule seen in this guide. | Yes, economically worthwhile in all cases compared to buying individual tickets for the 3 chosen attractions.
Very limiting card for an exploratory sightseeing trip. Makes sense in passing stops (max 1-2 days) or when for other reasons you want to see max 3 attractions. |

Which pass is best to choose?
In this overview, we have taken a close look at the main city pass options for Dubai, with the aim of saving you money on entrance fees to attractions and helping you experience your trip as fully as possible.
Each city pass has unique features and is more or less beneficial depending on the travel experience you have in mind.
There is no absolute best choice; rather, there is a solution that best suits you and your needs. Whether you are planning a vacation packed with commitments and visits, or conversely a short stay with just a few focused experiences, there is a pass that is right for you.
To select the right one, the starting point is you. Evaluate the length of your stay, the pace you intend to maintain and, above all, what attractions you absolutely do not want to give up.
Even just sketching out a travel schedule-without needing it to be defined in every detail-will help you quantify the number and type of activities you want to do.
Once these points are clarified, it will become much easier to identify the pass that offers you the ideal combination of affordability, flexibility and practicality.
I can help you with a general interpretation:
- If this is your first trip to Dubai and you want to see as much as possible (with 4-10 days to spare), the All-Inclusive Pass is in my opinion the best choice.
It is objectively the best pass available, rich, comprehensive, with all attractions included in the price. - If, on the other hand, you have a more focused itinerary in mind (up to 10 attractions), regardless of duration, Explorer Pass is the solution that best suits your needs.
When I want to see fewer things, due to preference, time or having seen Dubai before, while still ensuring significant savings.
- If, on the other hand, yours is a "hit and run" visit (1-3 days), perhaps passing through, and you want a taste of the city while settling for just 3 attractions, then the Essentials Pass is the most targeted solution.
Guaranteed savings but only on 3 attractions, with somewhat limited choice on which ones you can see (alternatively consider Explorer Pass 3 attractions, wider choice).
This is a concise but factual read on choosing the best pass to Dubai, according to your type of vacation.
I recommend reading this guide anyway, studying the mechanics of each individual pass.
Whichever pass you choose, the most important thing is to enjoy your Dubai experience to the fullest.
With the information in this guide, you have everything you need to do so while saving money and worry-free.
Buying a children's pass: does it pay off?
People often ask whether it is worthwhile to purchase a tourist pass for their children as well. Generally the answer is yes, it is worthwhile.
A good portion of Dubai's attractions also charge entrance fees for children: although the cost is less than for adults, they remain expensive and the overall expense can become significant.
However, it is crucial to pay attention to age groups, as each pass applies different criteria for the "child" rate based on the policies of individual attractions.
- For Go City passes(All-Inclusive Pass, Explorer Pass, Essentials Pass), the child age always starts at 3 years old.
👉 If your child is under 3 years old, you don't need to buy the pass: most attractions let them in for free or at a very reduced rate, which is cheaper than the pass in any case.
- For the IVenture's Unlimited Pass the child range is from 0 to 12 years old.
👉 Under the age of 3, purchasing the child pass for Unlimited is almost certainly not affordable. Check the cost of individual tickets for the attractions you are interested in, but it is rare that it exceeds the cost of the pass.
In summary: always assess the age of the child and compare it with the conditions of the attractions you want to see.
You should always find yourself in the situation where it is not worth taking the pass if the child is below the child age stipulated by the pass.
